Director,
Lecture
The greatest strength of academic research in the medical field lies in its deep understanding of diseases and unmet medical needs, which holds immense potential to generate innovative pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and regenerative medicine products. However, translating research into clinical practice—namely, “development”—requires a wide range of complex activities, including the formulation of development strategies, planning of non-clinical studies necessary for first-in-human trials, manufacturing and quality assurance of investigational products, and securing funding. These demands often place a significant burden on researchers.
At the Translational Research Center, we work alongside researchers from the stage of basic research outcomes through to clinical application, helping to resolve challenges encountered in development and providing comprehensive support to bridge the gap toward practical implementation. We are committed to delivering robust support to help realize researchers’ aspirations to bring their innovations to patients.
We also warmly welcome inquiries, whether you are considering developing a new therapy, wondering about the feasibility of practical application, or facing challenges in your research and development efforts. Please feel free to contact us at any time.
We look forward to supporting your endeavors.
Overview
The Translational Research Center supports “translational research,” which aims to bridge basic scientific discoveries to clinical applications. Its activities cover the full spectrum from the identification of research ideas (seeds), through non-clinical studies, to the preparation for early-phase clinical development. The Center facilitates the systematic advancement of research by refining study concepts, formulating development strategies, and coordinating across relevant departments. In addition, it provides support for intellectual property acquisition and management, technology transfer, and commercialization, thereby enabling research outcomes to be translated into tangible societal value.
